Up for sale today is a quite clean 1993 Volvo 960 with low miles, 88,424 to be exact. We like the 960 variants a lot because of their smooth power delivery, good fuel economy and comfortable, drive forever seats. We normally don't find these in such nice shape and when we saw it auction, we had to snap it up. Once we had it back at the shop, we did the following: replaced the front strut bushings, replaced the neutral safety switch, replaced the rear brake pads, replaced the rear coil springs, replaced the mass flow air meter, did an engine oil and filter service with Castrol and Mann products, flushed the transmission with Dextron 3 grade fluid and replaced the spark plugs. The one issue that we are kind of baffled about is a transmission light that flashes when driving the car. We even flushed the transmission one more time to try and clear it. No dice. However, the car shifts smoothly and there is no flaring that we can detect, so we chalked it up to electrical gremlins. Even with the light, this is one of the sweetest driving 960s we have come across and have been driving it consistently with no event. We also cannot predict when a part will fail. Please factor this in to your purchase decision. Furthermore, as older used cars, our cars may have had body repairs or have been repainted in the past. If we believe these repairs were done poorly or below acceptable specification, we will note this in the auction. Finally, a word on rust: we visually inspect each of our cars for rust holes in the body and undercarriage. However, we do not remove seats, carpets, axles, etc. during this inspection. "Visual" means just that: we look but don't poke. NO WARRANTY: Due to the age of most of our stock, we unfortunately cannot provide warranties for our cars without significantly raising our prices. We hope you understand. FEES: If you live in New Jersey, we are obligated to collect a 7% sales tax at delivery. Regardless of where you live, we charge a $149 processing fee, which is in addition to the final negotiated price or bid value on each of our cars.
