Vehicle Detail
This is an original car that has been well-maintained, driven only in the sun, and garage-kept for the 20+ years I have owned it. It was a Georgia car and has spent the last twelve years in Arizona. Every thing works well except the cigarette lighter. It has a luggage rack, after-market air conditioning, two new front seat covers, a back seat that has been rarely used, and tires in good condition. It was repainted eleven years ago. There are a few scratches, blemishes, and the paint has faded some as one would expect. The engine is basically stock with only replacement parts, but it was modified to use unleaded gasoline. There is no rust that I can see. To my knowledge it has never been in an accident. There is an updated AM/FM/Cassette radio, however, the original radio worked well when I took it out and could be reinstalled. The air conditioner cools very well. This Mustang starts right up and it has been a reliable driver in the city or on the highway; and has served me as a fun second car. It could be restored to like new, or could remain a nice driver that should give another 40 years of fun to someone. The odometer reads 85,919. I have service records that verify I have put approximately 18,000 miles on it in the last 20+ years. There are two problems, both are due to the hot and dry summers in AZ. It leaks a little fluid as most older cars do. Four years ago my mechanic told me gaskets can dry out because of Arizona's heat and low humidity when kept in a garage in the summer. He told me it would cost $350 to replace the gaskets --- but it was a waste of money as it would not leak enough to require adding fluid between oil changes. He advised he to just put a grease pan under it. To date, I have not had to add any fluid between changes. Also, the gasket around the windshield has dried and cracked. I have a quote of $120 to replace this gasket. Please consider both of these when making your bids. This vehicle is being sold as is, where there is no warrant, expressed, written, or implied.
