For sale is a 1997 Volkswagen Jetta GL with 113,112 miles. I bought this vehicle from a lady in Connecticut. It has a valid inspection sticker until February 2012. Overall, the vehicle is in descent shape for its age. I will do my best to describe the flaws. Engine The engine runs excellent with no check engine light. It idles perfect, however there seems to be an issue with the transmission. Or at least I think it's the transmission. The car runs and drives. I drove it around and it shifts rough from 1st gear into 2nd gear. Then it gets better as the gears go on. The trans fluid smells a little burnt. Exterior The exterior has its flaws. A few dings and a couple minor rust spots on the about the size of a quarter. The front bumper could use replacing. The driver's side mirror front face is missing. The gas cap is missing a stopper. ($10 dollar part on ebay) Front reflectors missing. The exhaust rattles a little. Interior The interior is in great shape. The driver's seat cusion is a little flattened. The spedometer doesn't work. There is a Sony Xplod 50w x 4 CD player. Tires All the tires have good tread. The two rear tires are practically brand new. They are Futura GLS Super Sport Tires P195/60/R14
