Vehicle Detail
Sorry, I had to end my previous listing for this truck and relist it because my reserve price somehow dropped out of that listing as I was submitting it. This is a 1939 Ford flatbed truck. I believe it is all original and all complete. I believe it has not been modified at all except for the addition of turn signals. This was a ' barn find ' by the guy I got it from. I was told that he got it from the original owner's family. Neither he or I have done anything to this truck. I think it has the original V-8 engine and the original 4-speed truck transmission. There are a lot of bare wires under the hood therefore no attempt has been made to start the engine. The engine does turn by hand. I believe everything that is supposed to be under the hood is there. The interior is mostly all complete also. It has what I believe is the original headliner and kickpanels. Those items aren't in perfect shape but are there. It has a heater. It has I believe the original seat covers on the seats, although they aren't in perfect shape. The gas tank is there under the seat but the condition is unknown to me. All the windows are cracked. The door windows crank up and down and the windshield pivots out but the windshield crank mechanism needs replaced. As can be seen in the pictures, the top part of the dash has been removed but it is included. The top part of the dash has a rust hole in about the center of it. The doors open , close, and lock correctly. The driver's door is rusted through on the outside toward the bottom. The brakes do not work. The tires hold air and it rolls and steers. This was a farm truck and the fenders and running boards are banged up alot. The grill and hood are in pretty good shape. The cab has some dents here and there. The frame is solid. One of the flatbed boards is missing. It flew off when the truck was enroute to me. I was told that one of the rear brake drums is cracked. I have not investigated that so I don't know which one it is or where the crack is. There is no title, but i can provide a bill of sale. The truck is at my house in Mechanicsburg, Pa. 17050. I will answer any questions you have. This vehicle is offered for sale locally and this ebay auction will be ended in the event of a local sale. Thanks
