Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my very first car, a 1984 Chevrolet El Camino.Cash Only, I've already had one fake buyer trying to use a falsified cashier's check. Objective Description: 229 cubic inch (3.8 liter) V6 [All original with emissions filters and computer controls] Turbo-Hydramatic 250/350 transmission -3 speed automatic Polished aluminum Eagle Alloy wheels BF Goodrich G-force Sport tires (four) -225/50 R15 91V 127,516 original miles Green exterior with chrome trim Cloth gray interior Tonneau cover -Black Vinyl Custom-fit El Camino car cover JVC CD player -Two Memphis car audio 6X9's w/ LPF crossover -Two 3.5" Memphis Car audio speakers w/ HPF crossover Also included in sale: -a used, white 80's El Camino tailgate (compatible) -an extra gas filler door -a small can with paint to match existing color -a small box of various El Camino parts Subjective Description: I have driven this car as a daily driver for the last 6 years, except in the winter time; the car was stored in a garage at home during the winters. This El Camino is currently in Lafayette, Indiana and could easily be driven anywhere in the country. Mechanically, the car is very sound. It runs great, starts readily, and is reliable from point A to point B. The body is not flawless. But, I think the pictures will speak for themselves, the car still looks very good. There is a small dent in the tailgate, I am including in the sale a replacement tailgate and enough paint which ought to cover it or could be used for color-matching. The interior is still in decent shape. My father and I bought this car in 2005 (106,000 miles) from Florida. We picked the El Camino as my first car since it is both classically stylish and utilitarian, and because accident rates for teen drivers skyrocket when more passengers are present**--if you're thinking of buying this as your own or your child's first car, I can highly recommend it. Gas mileage is in the 20's and insurance has been very low for this car. Service-wise: Dad and I replaced the spark plugs and wires in 2005, we installed the tonneau cover in 2005, and we replaced the starter motor in 2007. I installed the stereo and speakers somewhere around 2006. New tires in 2008, still with plenty of tread. Pick up only, purchaser will be responsible for coming to get the car. Please feel free to contact me with any further questions. -Randy **http://dmv.ca.gov/teenweb/more_btn6/traffic/traffic.htm
