Up for bid is a 1996 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon. “Collector's Edition” like all '96 Roadmasters. One owner car (2nd title may show on history report due to inheritance after death of parents) with 74k original miles. I trucked this car here when I moved last month but now have two of these and am keeping the one with lower miles. Seattle car - no road salt, no rust. Loaded up with leather and power everything. Interior is exceptionally nice (hardly any sun in Seattle helps keep the insides nice.) Exterior very nice, too, with a couple small dings. Boasting GM's Corvette inspired LT1 engine and 4L60E transmission, it puts down plenty of power and the 2.93 limited slip rear end (GW9 and G80 build codes) maximizes the traction to the pavement. Tow package equipped - car rated to pull 5000 but currently equipped with only 1000 lb. hitch to pull a small golf cart. Delivers consistent 16 in town and 24 highway at 70 mph. Condition Report ENGINE: Runs on all eight cylinders without smoking, missing or knocking. Engine runs at proper temperature. Newer AC Delco battery & good charging system. Starts easy, runs STRONG. TRANSMISSION: Performs as designed. Engages gears quickly and shifts through all forward gears and reverse with good downshift and torque converter performance. Clean fluid with no burn odors. Shifts well. EXTERIOR: Body: Body is extremely straight everywhere except the bottom part of the right rear door (pictured) has a slight ripple well hidden by location and light color. I have a written $275 estimate for this but me and the body guy can't seem to make our schedules work or I'd have fixed this. The only other complaint is a 1 inch ding on the hood near the grille, also pictured but also hard to spot unless you're looking for it. No rust ever, no bondo, nothing. All lower chrome trim, including the 'rubber' strips is intact though there are small ding on the bright trim on the front bumper, right rear quarter, and tailgate - can be seen in pics if you know where to look. No cracks or tears in the plastic bumpers. Paint: Paint is extremely nice with a couple normal rock chips and a couple sap spots on the roof from parking prior to shipping - garaged 98% of its nights. Above average paint. Wood: Side paneling is in very nice shape with a few minor chips. Upper fake wood molding is not all peeled like most of these, but has a couple small chips, the worst of which is on the right rear quarter (like 6 small chips spaced 2 inches apart like a rake handle fell on it in the garage.) Still, way better wood than most. Other: Glass is all nice including the original Sungate windshield. Solid undercarriage and frame - beautiful floors showing mostly silver gas tank straps. Aluminum wheels are in nice shape with no pitting but a couple wheel weight marks. INTERIOR: Interior of the car is very nice. All seats are in great shape with only the slightest wear on the driver's seat. Carpet shows some very minor wear in the usual spot at the drivers left foot (from setting the parking brake) but has not worn through. Dash and all door panels are in fabulous shape with no cracks or fading. NO paint wear on the driver window switch panel!. Headliner shows no sags or tears. Still sports all four factory floor mats. Non-smoker's car - no odors. Exceptionally nice overall. ELECTRICAL STUFF: All inspection items work (lights, button horn, wipers, etc.) ALL the power stuff works properly - power windows, power locks, dual power seats, hot heat and cold A/C, tilt, cruise, am/fm cassette, power antenna, rear wiper, rear window release, keyless entry, intermittent wipers, and rear defroster all work properly. DRIVEABILITY: Drives out beautifully as you'd expect of the low miles. Steering is tight, suspension tight, and alignment is good. Brakes work well, recently replaced front pads. Tires have about 80% tread remaining. Solid exhaust pipes and mufflers with no leaks. Limited slip ear end is quiet. Passed state emissions test in 2010 - no reason it won't pass now - check engine light is not lit (except at start up as it should.) GREAT driving car - hop in and drive anywhere. Short version: Small deposit as listed (but fast) by overnight mail or Paypal within 24 hours. Balance due in 5 days by cash in person, wire transfer, or Wells Fargo cashier's check.
