This is an auction for a 1966 mustang convertible. as you know, these cars are getting rarer and rarer everyday. It seems that its harder to find good restorable examples these days. We have a good candidate for a thorough restoration here. This car has been in the family for over 25 years and has been garaged pretty much all that time. At one time, the car was cleaned up, and body work was done..but poorly. Someone grafted on some quarter panel pieces with rivots and you can see, and that needs work again. The floors will need replacing. Not sure about the front floors, but the back seat well area is bad.The straight six cylinder engine fired up after sitting for a long period of time, and sounds good.. has a brand new battery. Brakes are not operating. Car rolls and turns. The top is in excellent shape, and was replaced sometime during its stay in the garage. Its a manual top. Floor shifter. It has bucket seats in it now, but the car comes with a set of bench seats as well. It has the rare flip up front bench seat which was the original seat in the car! The color of the interior is parchment. They are in pretty good shape as shown. this Mustang sports its original style hupcaps. Comes with a new battery. As you can see the car is ready to be restored. Has an interesting color which is the original color, Emberglo. Most of the panels are pretty straight and without rust, though you obviously can see some bubbling where the quarter panel work was done. there are some small rust spots where paint has chipped. Overall, this car needs a good restoration. Put some brakes in it, and you could probably drive it while you restore it. There is a reserve to protect the families investment. There will be a showing of the car this saturday October 8th where you can inspect the car.
