1986 FORD F150 XLT 4x4 Regular Cab Long Box 5.0 V8 with Automatic On Sep-03-11 at 09:43:41 PDT, seller added the following information: This is a farm truck that I recently acquired. It has probably lived on farms its whole life, and as such it has average rust and wear and tear from this type of use. The truck runs okay and starts fine. I tried the four wheel drive today for a short period of time and it seems to work fine. The speedo is inop as well as the odometer. The tach, however is working, as well as the temp, oil, and charging guages. The 4x4 light does come on when you engage it. There are no service engine lights on. The truck has a "farmy" smell when you get inside the cab, and could use a thorough cleaning and vacuuming. The floors have rust holes that have been patched with sheet metal and self-tapping screws. The front seat is in very nice shape with no holes. Driver's door panel is missing and power windows are currently inoperable. Power locks are working, however. Wipers work. Heater and fan work well. AM/FM radio works well. Lights all seem to work well. True miles unknown. Exhaust is quiet but missing part of the middle pipe. Pictures kind of tell the story. Let me know if you have questions. This is not for the faint of heart! But if you like bad axx old Fords, here you go! Just to be clear, this is not a sweet "diamond in the rough" type of truck. It is plain and simple a rough "beater" type pickup. Is it a good restoration candidate? Not in my opinion. It has it's share of rust. It is what it is. Today I was driving the F150 around and I discovered that Reverse has stopped working on the truck. I topped off the tranny fluid and the drive gears all still work well. So, bid with this in mind. Again, the drive gears seem fine, but no reverse. It will be sold "as is." Thanks. P.S. Reverse worked fine a few days ago, and maybe fresh fluid and filter might remedy the situation, but I cannon guarantee this. Plan on no reverse working. Thanks!
