LISTING AGAIN WITH NO RESERVE!! For Sale: 1973 Honda CB500 with just over 3600 miles! I've always liked the classic Honda CBs and bought this one July, 2008. I, unfortunately don't have time to ride and is the reason for the sale. This bike has been serviced twice by the local Honda dealership since I've owned it...once the summer I bought it and again this summer. Both have been routine maintenance. Here are the things that were done this summer at the Honda dealer: 4 carb kits, new battery, new spark plugs, oil/filter change, fuel filter change. Parts $184.38....Labor $420.00 Total with tax $615.44 (have receipt). As the dealer said... "great bike for a classic CB but just needs to get ridden" and is the reason for the sale. This is a very clean example of an unmolested 1973 CB500.... the pictures should speak for themselves. Only thing I have been meaning to do is get matching mirrors. I have the original exhaust too but a few of the pipes are bad. There is a small tear in the seat. Chrome looks nice for the age. Not a museum bike but definitely an eye catcher. Also, title is in my name as I had the bike only registered in 2008....the registration has since expired. I have not driven the bike much since summer of 2008 other than short runs around the block or down the road. New owner gets the clear title and recent local Honda Dealer service receipt. Bike was serviced early/mid July with plans to ride again but that never happened. It has not been driven or started since I picked it up. As mentioned reason for sale is because I hate to see a nice bike just sit. Any questions feel free to message me about the bike. I picked it up from the dealer at the end of August which is when I last had a chance to run it. I've kept the bike at a summer residence in Northern Michigan but have been back in the Metro Detroit area (about 4 hours away) since September 5th so I haven't been able to start/run it within the 30 days. I moved it over to my folks house in case it sold and I couldn't be up north. I will be up the weekend of October 15th so anytime after that would be best to ship. I've only sold one bike on Ebay before and the shipper wanted all gas removed before they would ship it. As long as the buyer arranges everything and pays all shipping costs I have no problem shipping the CB after the 15th of October. Hope this helps. Any more questions feel free message me.
