Vehicle Detail

1956 Chevy 210 Bel Air with original 265 V8 and Powerglide Automatic Transmission This is the 1st year Chevy produced a V8. It can be swapped with any 4-bolt short block V8 up to 1982. I wouldn't do that, because this car is a virgin (all original) and that is very hard to come by. The car is all original, only 2 owners (a father, then his son) 48,000 original miles. I have the original title and the DMV limited power of attorney form for this car on hand. The engine runs great (purrs and you don't even need to touch the gas to start her) The first thing I did when I brought her home was install new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, coil, points, condenser, and a battery. I bypassed the fuel tank and ran a line from a gas can directly to the fuel pump to avoid pulling any junk into the engine from the sitting fuel tank. It started on the very first try. I was very impressed! I haven't verified the transmission yet, because the brake system was bone dry. I just bought, but have not yet installed, all new brake components. (new master cylinder, all 4 wheel cylinders, all 4 brake lines, and shoes) The body has all the badges and chrome undamaged, but they need to be cleaned and possibly dipped. The car has the expected small amount of rust through on the lower quarter panels behind the rear tire and on the top surface of the fenders. The rest is just surface oxidation. The car has never been in an accident, and the panels are incredibly straight. All the glass is present, with a ½ depth crack in 1 rear door window. Front and rear windows are flaw free and original. All doors, hood and trunk lid open and close correctly. All windows operate correctly. Original keys are also present. The paint was rattle canned by the son 35+ years ago. All of the original tags are still present "Body by Fisher" on firewall and VIN on the driver's door A pillar. The car is fully intact other than the original rims. I bought the car from the son, because it was the "find of a lifetime" for me. The pictures I attached are of from the day I found it. It's been sitting safely inside my warehouse since the day after I found it. I always dreamed of rebuilding a 56 or 57. Nonetheless, this is not the time for me to take on this project. My time and finances are dominated by my business and family. I will build mine at some other point in my life. This is the perfect project car! I have this car for sale outside of this auction and reserve the right to sell it at anytime 1956 Chevy Belair 265 cubic inch V8 Powerglide Automatic Transmission Chevrolet Low Miles Restore Hot Rod Classic 50's
