The previous owner got rid of all the IFS (independent front suspension components) in favor of a full solid front axle swap kit from Off Road Direct. He used a Ford Dana 44 front axle and a GM 14 bolt rear axle, and they seem to have 4.10 gears. The wheels are Mickey Thompson and the tires are 42 inch Super Swamper TSLs. The front springs have 10 inches of lift while the rear have 12 inches of lift, and the truk also has a 3 inch body lift. There are dual shocks in the front and all 6 are gas-charged with reservoirs. The rear driveshaft was made by American Driveline here in Fort Worth. It still needs a front driveshaft built, and in order to make it fit properly the transmission crossmember will have to be modified or replaced with a custom piece - such as the one that Off Road Design offers. I also highly recommend putting hydraulic assist steering on it because the factory power steering just cant handle the 42 inch tires. It does fine as long as youre moving, but there is almost no power steering at all when sitting still. The interior is actually very clean with only the front seat bottoms showing some slight wear, but no tears and no noticeable stains. The A/C is ice cold and the heat is hot. There is a very nice Pioneer CD player installed along with aftermarket speakers and it is pre-wired for a subwoofer under the back seat. Power windows and locks work great, but the passenger side power mirror doesnt work. Because of all the custom drivetrain work, there are several warning lights that should be coming on (Service Engine Soon, ABS, and Brake), but apparently the previous owner took the gauge cluster apart and put tape over the bulbs. The engine runs great and doesnt smoke or leak oil. There is an exhaust leak because one of the catalytic converters has a hole in the bottom. The transmission shifts very well with no slip. The transfer case seems to be working well, but its hard to tell much without a front driveshaft and sometimes it takes a while to get it to go back to 2WD from 4WD Low. The body of the truck is in very good condition. Since this truck has always been in Texas since new, there isnt any rust or corrosion anywhere. The paint shines great. The are a few very light scratches and there is a light dent by the passenger tail light that should pop back out pretty easily. Overall, the exterior looks quite good. PLEASE NOTE: Because of all the custom suspension and drivetrain modifications on this truck, I am selling it AS-IS with no warranty. The truck is street legal and just passed its Texas safety and emissions inspection last May, but I do not recommend driving it any significant distance since its not set up very well for street driving. Super Swampers do not make good highway tires, and especially not 42 inch TSLs. It rides very rough and does not feel very stable (although the steering does feel surprisingly solid). If you are not in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, I would recommend having the truck shipped or bring your own trailer.
