Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my gorgious 1927 ford model t coupe. This car glows in the sunlight! Powered by a chevy 355 and backed with a th400 transmission this car will really move. A 10 bolt gm rear end mounted to a 4 link with coilover shocks helps put the power to the ground. this car was built from a auctual model t, well pieces of one. only about 3 feet of framerail remain and have been boxed in. the front and rear clips were custom built rectangle tube. this work was performed by a professional frame builder. the front suspension is a solid chrome dropped axle with disc brakes for good stopping power. This car doesnt have any leaks and runs 180 on a 100 degree day even if your stuck in traffic thanks to the electric cooling fan. The body is a outlaw fiberglass unit with a hinged trunk lid to access the battery, fuel pump, or rear suspension. A holley electric fuel pump draws from the 15 gallon tank and feeds a edelbrock 750cfm polished carb. A mallory distributor fed by a msd box lights the fire. A polished edelbrock performer rpm intake lets the fuel flow through the mildly worked heads to the forged pistons. A mild cam rounds out the mix to provide a snappy yet street friendly engine. If you keep your foot off the throttle(which is hard to do!) its pretty easy to get 15-16 mpg at 55. The transmission is filled with moble 1 synthetic fluid and was rebuilt before being put into the car. A lokar shifter lest you select the gears. the interior is leather with tan carpeting and removable fitted floor mats. The seat is very comfortable and does allow for some comfort for such a small cockpit. 2 grown adults fit in this car very well, however if the driver is very heavy a tilt streering colum would make it easier to get in and out. Im 5'9" and 200 lbs and I have no problem getting in or out, however if you are 6'4" and 350lbs youll have trouble. the wheels are weld 5 spole polished aluminium with mickey thompson tires. Tires are in excellant shape at around 90-95% tread remaining. Dolphin gauges keep a eye on the vital information. The speedo does need to be recalibrated as it reads 35 when you are doing 55. This car has won every show that Ive put it in and gets all the attention you will ever need/want. It drives and handles well and I wouldnt hessitate to drive it from coast to coast. The only flaws in the car are that the upolstry that wraps up over the rear of the seat got tucked in to tight and caused the paint to crack on each side about a 3/4 to a inch long. The front grill shell also has a scratch in it about 1/4 inch wide by 1.5" from a piece of tin flying out of the back of a truck in front of me. both could be easily fixed if they bothered you. All lights work and it does have a horn. Illinois does not require safety inspections but if your state does I assure you this car will have no problem passing. The car is titled as a 1927 ford model t and the vin number does match up with the one stamped on the original framerails. I have described this car to the best of my knowlege. if you have any questions feel free to ask and I will respond as quickly as I can. there is no dissapointments here, this is a beatiful car!!! Im only selling it because I have too many toys and want to buy a bigger boat.On Sep-09-11 at 05:17:25 PDT, seller added the following information: Reserve is $14,000. If it meets that the car will have a new home.
