Relisting, almost made reserve. Less than $500 to go and it would have sold. Hopefully someone will meet it this time and make a Starsky and Hutch car out of it! 1974 Ford Gran Torino. I am the third owner. I am listing this with a moderate reserve. It is a very nice solid original car. I bought this car with the intention of making a Starsky and Hutch car. I bought it in 2008 and have done some slight improvements to it over the years. The original owner was from Connecticut and moved to Gilsum, NH in 1980. It had one repaint in 1980 by Gilsum Garage. It has had some slight work done in the rear quarters. The underneath of the car is beautiful. It looks to have been undercoated, possibly by the factory, or by the origianl owner. No rust or rot underneath. The second owner bought it in 2007. I bought it from them in 2008. It has the 351 Windsor motor with the FMX transmission. I have replaced the transmission filter and gasket recently. The oil and temp gauges were added when I bought it. I didnt want to rely on the dummy gauges. The steering box was replaced this year with a correct replacement. The single exhaust is in decent shape but has had repair at the junction. The motor is all original and has had no modifications done to it. The car drives great down the road. No issues with the drivetrain at all. The master cylinder has been replaced. The interior is in great shape with no tears or rips. The headliner and dash are great. The AM/FM 8 track is present but not hooked up. The previous owner had an aftermarket radio mounted in the glove box (have the mounting pads) which was removed when I bought it and I have never hooked a radio up. The exterior is in real good shape with minor scratches and some small chips. I do have the wheel well mouldings that will need to be polished and put back on (no I will not sell them separately). I have pointed out the areas in the pics. The vinyl top has some small bubbles underneath in the rear (see pic) not real bad but should have a new top put on and area in question taken care of. I have the origial hub caps but at the moment it has Ansen Aluminum wheels on it. The car is in real good shape but is a 1974 so it is not a new car. Car will be sold as is. If "buy it now" is used I have a nice car cover, March Pulley set, Headers, center console, sport mirrors and Nice set of bucket seats (not vintage) that will go with the car. Only if "buy it now". I had just washed it and wiped it down with my shamy cloth, but the water was draining off the car from underneath. Just wanted to clarify.
