I bought this car in March, 2010. It was supposed to be my youngest daughter's first car. However, after driving it in the high school parking lot for the last year, she decided she wanted an F-150 instead! She doesn't like the 3 speed on the floor, she has a hard time shifting it. She likes to hang the shifter between 1st and 2nd! I put a new shifter in it, but I just can't make it 16-year-old-daughter proof! So the car hasta go... I bought it like you see it now, I haven't had to do much to it at all. I did replace the fuel pump, and put a Pertronix electronic ignition in the distributor. It runs great, and starts right up every time! It was restored by an older gentleman, a retired police officer. He put a '94 S-10 differential in her, along with the tilt column from the same truck. He changed the steering to rack-and-pinion, it drives very well (much better than my stock 1970 Camaro!). The engine is from a 1958 Chevy, a 235 six banger. It runs like a clock, and seems to be pretty miserly on gas. All the gauges work, as well as the tach. It's a really nice car, it just needs a new home!
