1991 DODGE DAKOTA Up for auction is a 1991 Dodge Dakota 4x4 with camper topper. The truck has a engine issue(loud knocking) and will need rebuilt or replaced. The truck has a TBI 318 CID V8 in it with automatic transmission. The fuel gauge and odometer(180,000 is approx. mileage, title states not actual mileage) do not work(speedo works fine). The ignition has been replaced, so the key will not unlock the doors. There is no battery or radio installed in the truck(I have a couple radios that will be going with the truck I am unsure if they work or not). The truck has some rust spots and the paint is faded( as pictured). The camper topper has a broken window on the drivers side. With those "issues" out of the way, I had just put many new parts on the vehicle, 4/7/11-4/14/11 the following parts were installed; front brakes and rotors, rear brake shoes and spring kit, alternator, plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor button, and the ECM( I think the total bill for those items was around $500). The water pump was replaced about a month before I purchased the truck in Feb. of 2010. The transmission shifts great and the 4x4 system works great. The tires have 25-35% tread left on them. The power locks, power windows, power adjusting driver mirror, and cruise control work good. The truck has a U-Haul tow hitch installed with a 4 pin light plug. The interior is in good shape considering the age of the vehicle( headliner stapled up). Other than the engine issue, body work, and needing a paint job the truck is pretty solid.
