Vehicle Detail

RELISTED ON THE 9TH DAY OF A 10 DAY AUCTION, E-BAY REMOVED DO TO SOME NUMBERS IN MY INTIAL LISTING. FRUSTRATING YES, BUT THERE IS NOTHING I CAN DO EXCEPT START FROM SCRATCH. I’ve tried to describe this car to the best of my ability and as honestly as a can. I have $15,000 in recent receipts, spent wisely. Maybe not the fastest, but I put a lot into the suspension and tweaked the engine while trying to keep its original look. Very solid overall. The exterior finish is excellent and truly shows better in person. Please read completely & ask questions if necessary before bidding. Introduction: VERIFIED, 2nd Owner, Purchased in ‘06 with 61,000 miles Last year of the “Sting Ray” style flat/straight back window. I have kept ALL the original parts, will go with car. All Numbers Matching Documentation: Well kept excellent documentation in chronological order. Original Owner’s 1977 “Dealer Bill of Sale” Many Original Owner documents. All my repairs & purchases completely documented. Over $15,000 in receipts since 2006. Lots of pictures from ‘06 original purchase & periodically with some before/after photos. Original Owners Manual Mechanic’s Repair Manual 1 set of original keys Engine: 350 ci. L-48 Slight modification, kept all OEM parts. New Holley Street Avenger 650 double pump carburetor New aluminum intake manifold New distributor cap, spark plugs (Bosch) & wires New Hedman Headers 1 5/8 inch with New 2 ½ dual exhaust (sound amazing) Flowmaster mufflers All emission system items removed, including catalytic converters. K&N air filter with K&N breathable lid Perfect oil pressure New Radiator New Battery Has a very small oil leak, appears to be from back of pan. Runs super smooth & powerful (way more power than original and even more so than an L82) No weird ticks, knocks or noises. No overheat problems what so ever “I hate to sound corny. But, yes it lights up the tires with ease. It also gives a solid chirp from first to second and almost from 2 to 3rd. Moves out with authority" Transmission: Very rare, 4-spd manual/stick-shift Muncie - M21 Shifts perfectly Recently flushed with new fluid. Suspension: This car handles way better then you can imagine, would run great around a track. None of the other Corvettes I’ve seen for sale pay much attention to the suspension (4) New KYB Gas-A-Just Performance Shocks. New light weight composite rear spring, 340lb rate by Muskegon. Not the firmest one at 355, not the softest at 315…right in the middle. 35lbs lighter than the OEM too. Made a huge improvement in the ride & performance. New inner & outer front tie rods Recent alignment & wheel balance. Rear-End Differential: New rear-end posi gears New slip yokes & seals Very expensive job, $2,400 repair invoice and photo documentation. Wheels & Tires: Factory Option Aluminum New Center Caps Tires perfect fit, makes the car look and handle great Tires – Mastercraft Avenger GT, 80%+ tread Rear - P275/60R15 Front - P255/60R15 Original spare, locking carrier, good shape. Original jack Very authoritative stance Exterior: Painted 2001 by original owner, excellent finish, freshly waxed. Front & rear original urethane bumpers replaced with fiberglass bumpers. Urethane type looses their form, color and cracks. Headlights go up/down perfectly. And stay where they should. Breaks my heart but there is one small chip on the very front bumper tip. New front lower dam skirt (some don’t realize if this little piece is missing it will affect the engine temp.) Rear luggage rack with original roof panel mounting strap kit & storage bag. All Chrome, lettering and trim great shape. All glass great shape. Interior: Leather interior (new upholstery, carpet & weather stripping in 2001 by original owner) Cracked top of dashboard around speakers. Steering wheel excellent condition. Door panels and handles in very good condition Overall the interior looks great. Power windows All gauges work except clock Tilt & Telescopic steering Rare, A/C but not working, all components in their original position, un-touched. T-Tops: One of the original t-tops is cracked. New roof panel by Astro-Tops, Plexiglas, one piece, bronze tinted, ($450.00). Way better than the original t-tops. More interior head room, better wind & water seal. Makes interior roomier and more comfortable. Bronze tint makes the inside look great. Comes with OEM T-tops, brackets, straps & storage bag Radio: Alpine CD player with new speakers, subwoofer and amp, sounds great. Custom made, removable rear speaker & subwoofer box. Summary: When it bought it, I had looked long and hard. Without exception, I wanted a C3 body style, Sting Ray style straight back window, black on black, t-tops, 4-speed and A/C…wasn’t easy. Its maiden voyage was 800 miles from Maryland to Chicago, problem free. No weird noises, shakes or shimmies. I have never broken down. This is my 3rd classic car, I’ve restored & sold a 64’ Impala SS and currently own a 75’ Buick Convertible. I work at and own a business that does vehicle maintenance. I consider myself to be a qualified and reputable person. Completely Detailed. Everything works as it should expect the A/C and windshield washer spray. This corvette runs very strong and fast. More so, it handles like its on rails and four wheel disc brakes, it stops surprising strong & straight. None of the other corvettes I’ve seen for sale pay much mention the suspension. Why selling? Moving and won’t have the space. Plus, I rarely get a chance to drive it, it is really just a date night car, with four kids at home, that’s pretty rare. This Vette is a blast to drive. There may be others a little faster, but combine that with how this one handles, looks and its reliability, you have a true all around sports car. THANK YOU, Max
