This is an incredibly clean 300TE! The original owner bought this car in Fort Myers, Florida and it stayed there in the Fort Myers area until it was given to the owner's grandson to take to college here in Fort Worth, Texas while he lived with relatives in the area. The grandson drove it for a couple of years while in college, and just traded it in at a local BMW dealership on a new BMW (also paid for by his grandfather). This is the history I was given by the BMW dealer and I have no way to verify it, but it does match up with the Carfax history. The car itself is really quite stunning and looks exactly how a 72k mile car should. I cannot find one iota of rust anywhere on this car - top or bottom. The Carfax report is perfectly clean. Ebay's AutoCheck report does show an accident with minor damage to the right front fender from back in 1991, but the fender appears to be original so this had to be extremely minor indeed. The interior is also immaculate and shows very little wear anywhere. The entire care is clean and tight. However, the grandson who owned it the last couple of years did not maintain it much, so I'm selling it with full disclosure and As-Is. Most of the issues could be taken care of with a weekend of tinkering, but it really just depends on if you want to simply drive it, or make it a show car as to how far you want to go in repairs. I will now list everything I know of (as pointed out by my mechanic) that needs attention:- The inside of the gas tank is just starting to rust, so the tank needs to be removed, "vatted" (cleaned), resealed, and reinstalled. To really do a thorough job of it, the rest of the fuel system should probably be removed and cleaned as well. The car runs great at the moment, but you can expect the fuel filter to start to stop up about every 1,000 miles or so.- The A/C vents in the center of the dash do not blow any air. This is caused by a bad vacuum pod within the dash.- There are a couple different oil leaks. Since this car has spent most of its life sitting rather than being driven, some of the engine seals have dried out and begun to seep oil. It has been sitting in my warehouse for 2 days and has only leaked a spot of oil the size of a half-dollar. There may well be other small issues with the car, but these are the worst ones that are most likely to require attention sooner than later. The engine does not smoke and has excellent power and good compression. Just about everything on the car does work great and it is a pleasure to drive even in its current state with the small issues it has.
