1985 GMC 3500 1ton 454 big block motor 400 heavy duty transmission 14 bolt full floater rearend with 3.73 gears 82,000 miles Sold new in CA and spent entire life in Arizona, always garaged, never towed, truck is all original including paint, interior, drivetrain. I bought truck last year and had it shipped to IN, I have spent a TON of money in this truck to make it perfect including complete tune-up with Napa premium spark plug wires (lifetime warranty) , Ac-delco plugs, Hypertech power coil\cap, Napa gold air filter, professional carb rebuild (original quadrajet), rebuilt distributor, replaced all hoses-seals-gaskets-belts etc. replaced all fluids including oil + filter, trans. fluid, filter, and deep cast aluminum trans. pan, coolant flush and fill, drained rear differential and filled with Amsoil along with new cover gasket. I have all receipts for everything I have done. The truck had the trans. rebuilt 5,000 miles ago as well as the front end gone through in AZ before I bought it. Drives perfectly strait down the road and shifts great. This truck runs, drives, shifts, stops, just like it did the day it was new! There is not a nicer more original big block 1ton out there, let alone the low miles. I have kept this truck garaged and get it out on nice summer drives to drive it. Never had a hitch in the bed, inside of bed is very clean, not beat up all all, the body is clean, original paint still shines nicely. The interior is the original charcoal cloth with bench seat, has factory A\C that has been converted to 134 and blows cold. Both tanks still work as does the switch on the dash. I have the original build ticket that I had laminated. The miles are real and the carfax or autocheck will show it, I had it titled with 78,000 miles on it and now has 82,000 on it. Things that are different, the wheels and tires have been swapped out for BFG all-terrians on chrome steel wheels, it has a nicely done dual exhaust with H-pipe and Flowmaster 40 series mufflers, again whoever did it did a very nice job, no leaks and bends\quality is good, sounds great, little noisy at idle but quiet at speed. Thats it. Things that are bad\getting bad, the dash has 2 cracks in it, impressive for being so old, goes to show it really has never seen the sun, the seat is getting thin on upholstery, has some tears\wear holes, all foam is there and in great shape, simply needs reupholstered. the tires are 20% but with no cracks or odd wear, would still last and look good as a weekend toy. Looks like someone once backed into something with the right corner of the bumper and it went into the back right fender just barley, not something you notice but it is there. The bodyside molding is faded and dulled as is the window molding. The sheetmetal is very impressive as is the frame, everything is simply solid, never seen salt, rain, mud, work, simply desert or garage. Low miles, 1ton, big block, that runs and drives like it was new, even still looks new. This truck turns heads and people walk up and compliment me on it. You will be impressed, I looked for several years looking for the perfect one and when I found it went nuts putting money in it, I will never get half of what I spent back but will not give it away, we are buying a house and I can't have toys that take up space or money so I must sell it.
