Vehicle Detail
One family owned vehicle, dad bought the car brand new and then gave it to me several years ago. ALL SERVICE RECORDS ARE AVAILABLE. As you can see the car has been taken care of very well, never been in an accident. Vehicle was in storage for a few years and I just recently got it out to drive and rebuild to bring it up to top shape again, unfortunately I don t have the money at this time. Paint and body work was done approximately eight years ago The motor is original with 180k miles, transmission was rebuilt at 154,036 miles Interior has had some minor touch ups through the years but is still original Recent work completed includes basic tune-up, fuel tank replaced, fuel tank pump replaced, new battery, and new wiper motor Car is in great shape but it does need some work. Exhaust needs repaired (crack by manifold and break near the muffler), main rear oil seal is leaking, and brakes need to be worked on as well (need new front and rear pads at least). Feel free to email with any questions about specific service records or if additional pictures are needed. Buyer will need to make all arrangments for vehicle pick up. UPDATE: Had a few people ask about the brakes. Approximately two months ago I had the car in the shop for standard rotate and balance, as part of the service they inspected the brakes. They reported the front was getting close to the limit they adhere to and the back wasn't fully engaging because the drums were too worn. They weren't too concernd since the front do the majority of the work. A few weeks ago I had to drive all over town and it was an extremely hot day, it felt like the brake pads weren't releasing all the way. After stopping for about an hour everything had cooled down and was just fine, hasn’t had the problem since. My personal opinion is everything will be fine if greased and you replace rotors, drums, pads, pins, and possibly the springs. The body is still in really good shape even though it was fixed and painted over eight years ago. The rear hatch has a crack where the spare tire locks. This just seems to be a flaw in the car since the guy that completed the body work tried to improve on the support and its still cracker a few months after being finished. The paint does have a few bubbles in the typical areas, rear wheel well, but there is no visible rust. I will get pictures of these and post for everyone to see. The report listed says the car was in one accident. I don't recall this and either does my dad, he said it must have been a very minor bump as he never had any major work done. The engine is still strong, only concern is the oil leak (see response to question below). Not sure if I can post a video of the engine running so everyone can see and hear but I will try later today. On Sep-24-11 at 11:17:52 PDT, seller added the following information: Update: People had questions about the frame condition and rust. My dad did have ziebart spray it multiple times through the years but this of course doens't protect 100% especially living in Ohio with the snow. Pictures of the frame, brake lines, and inside of the door have been uploaded. Question raised about the 4wd with manual locking hubs. No probably getting everything to engage but if I lock in the hubs and don't shift into 4wd-h the car has a vibration to it. I checked all the fluid levels and everything is good. I've never had to work on this part of the car so I'm not sure where to begin. I called around at a few garages to see how much it would be for just an inspection and they couldn't fit me in. From doing research online it could be the joint, bearings, etc. If anyone has any suggestions or want me to look at something specific just let me know.
