I purchased the DeLorean in 2000 and put approximately 12,000 miles on it since then. It has never been driven during our Wisconsin winters and was garaged at all times. It was purchased from a local car enthusiast who had restored it and drove it for a few years. The earlier history of the car is best known by him. Serious bidders may contact me to secure his name and contact information. A very reputable sports car mechanic shop recently went through the entire car and undertook numerous repairs and upgrades. The list of work recently done on the DeLorean includes -installation of new power window motors and complete assemblies, -new exhaust manifold gaskets, -installation of complete new fuel system and injectors, -new hydraulic lifts for the doors and bonnet, -new clutch and brake master cylinders, -complete tune up and numerous general maintenance matters. Again, serious bidders may contact me to secure his name and contact information. Although it is being sold “as is”, it is in good running/driving condition. There are a few minor paint chips and some cracks in the dash vinyl, but is otherwise in good/ wear condition. I am uncertain if it was factory painted or after market. Although most purists probably belittle the painted DeLorean, I prefer the colored models. I have received many complimentary comments about its appearance. Included in the sale are the following additional spare parts and accessories: -an intact engine block with heads, -steering column and steering wheel and miscl steering components, -starter, -spare transmission, -four rims with sticky tires, -muffler and numerous other parts.
