2003 C230 Sport Sedan, I'm the second owner purchasing the car wth only 11K or so on it. Personal vehicle driven and taken care off like a baby, always garaged. Unfortunately the timing chain skipped damaging valves, etc.(evidently not uncommon for this model..the replacement chain is much beefier) some months ago. Repair was done with a head rebuild including all new valves, timing chain, chain tensionor, gaskets, etc. Ran well following the repair for a month then begain to leak coolant into the engine oil. Mechanic says it could need the heads retorqued, have a bad gasket, cracked or warped head or even a cracked block. The solution is to repair this engine or replace it with a used engine. Though I have LOVED this car, I don't have the time or patience to deal with it right now and have purchased something else. Someone looking for a very safe car in pristine condition who either has an engine or the skill to repair this engine will be thoroughly pleased. Every else works well, it has new brakes and rotors on the front and about 40% of tread left on the tires. The only other flaw is the display dims a bit in the heat, which is pretty typical of this model car. In full disclosure it has been in two minor accidents one involving the front end, single car(no air bag deploy) and it was rear ended two or three years ago. Repairs were made with all Mercedes parts and it looks and drives like a new car....minus the engine issue mentioned. I have the title in hand. I will take cash or a money order for payment and you must pick the car up. Though it currently runs well, I suggest trailering it until the repairs are completed.
