This is a no reserve auction for my 1973 Honda SL125.The 1973 Honda SL125 was one of the bikes I dreamed of owning as a boy. The styling and the big-bike features like full sized wheels and the speedometer and tachometer had me hooked! Even today, the silver color with the red stripe and the bike's clean, classic lines make it a standout among 1970's Hondas, which are all good looking. This SL is almost completely original, starts easily and runs well, though it sputters when the throttle is wide open. Here are a few details: -The previous owner stored it in a wooden shed which became damp from rain and most of the unpainted surfaces on the bike are rusted. There is surface rust on the exhaust and some painted parts but nothing is rusted through. This is a California bike that was rust free before the few months in the damp shed. -The paint on the the bike is original and not faded, though the tank has a light ding, the front fender has some heavy scratches and the rear fender is kinked. -The speedometer and tach work, but are not always accurate, and the lens on the tachometer is cracked. -The key switch is missing, so I just plug the two wires that went to the switch together when I want to run the bike. I run it very little, just occasionally to hear the familiar sound of the stock exhaust, but it always starts easily. -The top right fork tube clamp is cracked. -The title is in my name and the bike is currently registered non-op. This bike has a liscence plate for road use. I will ship the bike if the buyer pays for all shipping charges and arranges for pick up at my home. Payment with cash or Paypal only.
