This is one of the finest original examples of a 1968 Cadillac Deville you will ever find. No rust, no rot. MINT condition. Clean inside, outside, underbody, and engine compartment. 73,000 original miles. All numbers matching. All original panels, glass, doors, seats, dash, and more. Vehicle wears the original blue starfire metallic color with white leather interior, and black convertible top. Runs and drives perfectly. It has a 472 V8 engine, properly functioning power brakes, and a smooth TH400 transmission. I have full binder of documentation including titles, sales slips, and original sales sheet. Some of the features of note: - Automatic climate control with cold A/C (has never been disconnected) – set the temp on the dial - Power top (replacement material, original hardware in perfect shape) - Power windows (main windows, quarter, AND vent windows, which are rare) - 6 way power driver’s seat - Power antenna - AM/FM radio - Posi-traction rear end Some details to note to originality: The door jambs have the original correct riveted “GM” emblems. The headlights are the period correct units. The exhaust has the correct rear resonators in place. The wheel covers maintain the black striped paint. The dash and steering wheel have no cracking or damage. The wood inserts on the door panels are perfect. The stickers on the hood and in the trunk are original, not replacements. The white leather top boot is original and has no cracks or damage. The engine compartment even has the very rare spare glass washer bottle. It’s all there, and it is correct. Those are just a few examples. The engine has never been out of the vehicle and the body never off the frame. Quite a bit of mechanical and aesthetic work was done in the last 10 years to make it perfect. The top vinyl is replacement, the carpet is new (correct color and nap depth and type). The paint was resprayed in the original color but with premium basecoat-clearcoat in better than original finish. The all aluminum grill, for example, was taken apart piece by piece, refinished, and reassembled. The bumpers were rechromed to restore their luster. The dash clock was rebuilt to make it original in appearance but quartz function. The valve seats in the heads were upgraded to run properly on unleaded gas. Full disclosure: The trunk lock cylinder is not in place and not functioning (key got stuck, but trunk can easily be opened). I have the lock cylinder. Driver’s door armrest is showing paint flaking from a previous repair. Power antenna works well, but needs help getting started going down to catch the first tooth. The passenger side window fits as it did originally, which is slightly inboard. Window must be raised to top before closing the door.
