The car has spent most of its life in the dry Southwestern climate of Texas and New Mexico. This classic mustang is a definite "Head Turner", she has won many trophies at local car shows and received an 81 at one show by MCA Judges. The car was completely restored a little over 5 years ago and is still in great condition. This car was only used on weekend cruises and taken to car shows. It has not been driven in rain or snow since the restoration. It is not in "concourse" condition. I was restored to be an occasional driver to be enjoyed by whom every purchases it. The car does have a few chips and scratches but nothing very serious. The hood blew open one time at a car show when a gust of wind came in and it wrinkled the hood and the front cowling. It is not very noticeble from a normal distance but it is there. The paint and body in my opinion would have to be graded about an 8 on a scale of 0-10 when 10 is perfect. The convertible top was replaced new when restored but is showing some wear. It is a manual top and is very easy to operate, no worries with the electric top issues of the pump and cylinders going bad or leaking. The transmission was overhauled about 6 months ago and mechanically the car is sound. The tires are about 50% new in condition and still have plenty of tread. The car was taken down completely, all the interior was removed including everything under the hood and the new paint was applied to give it that factory look. Under the hood, the complete trunk area and inside doors and interior were painted to match. A base coat-clear coat paint was used and it is a "fireball red" color that is metallic which gives it an eye catching appeal. The gas tank was replaced and all the fuel lines were cleaned and hoses replaced. The engine was running good so we only resealed it and painted it back to stock color. Practically every piece of chrome was replaced except for the windshield top where the convertible top sits. It was in good shaped so we just polished it. This car is not perfect by no means but it is one of the nicest mustangs around here. Below is a list of items that were replaced during the restoration which is only the cost of parts, labor was not included so you can see a tremendous amount of work has been done to get this beauty into the condition that it is in now. If you wanted the car to be "perfect", it would only need new paint and very little else.
