Vehicle Detail
This beautiful 2008 Thruxton needs a new home. These bikes are modern with the sexy cafe' racer feel and look of the 60's. Every time I take her out, I get asked "What year is that bike". They are often dumbfounded to hear it's a 2008. This year model also happens to be the last year the bikes were carbureted (none of that EFI) and the last year they came with the clip-on handle bars. This bike has been well cared for with a single owner. She has 3190 miles, garage kept, never raced and never laid down... Just a weekend warrior. This past winter I ran through quite a few mods to increase the performance. I have cleaned up the tail section with a rear fender eliminator kit from New Bonneville and swapped out the big turn signals with something a little more low profile ($225). I improved the power and sound with the installation of a ceramic coated British Customs Predator exhaust, Air Box Elimination with K&N filters and re-jetting ($770). I also installed a matching set of ceramic coated headers ($200). The bike stops fast and sure with the upgraded 4-piston Brembo caliper and rotor ($850) and braided stainless steel brake lines ($70) She takes the twisties like champ with the YSS Z362TRL Standard Adjustable Shocks ($450) in the rear and the professionally rebuilt (by Race Tech) front forks with Race Tech Springs and Gold-Valve Emulators ($270). I purchased and installed the classic Triumph Tank Badges ($200), CRG Bar-End Mirrors ($170/pr), and Carb Toppers ($79). That's around $3284 in upgrades. The brake fluid was drained and replaced with the addition of the new brake lines (front and rear) and from caliper upgrade during the winter. Replaced the front tire about 15 miles ago. The bike has a KBB value of $5975 (stock) and over $3200 in modifications (not including labor) = a great deal **This bike is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction early if the bike sells. Please ask questions and I will do my best to respond promptly. Happy Bidding!!
