Hello, you are looking at a rare, beautiful 1971 Volkswagen Type 3 Fastback named Aya! I'm the second owner of the car and have had her for about 3 years. Bought it from the first owner which purchased the car in 1971 in California. The car has been babied and well taken care of its whole life. Always garaged, serviced regularly, and have every single receipt for every service, part, maintenance record INCLUDING the original title of the car from 1971!!! Runs beautifully, handles amazingly, and gets a lot of attention and smiles from people every time I drive her =) The interior is nice, just replaced brand new carpeting for the entire interior two days ago. The paint is decent and the body is straight with no visible rust with the exception of a couple spots behind the rear vents where I attached pictures of bubbling paint- which in my opinion is the only negative part about the car. Again the car drives beautifully and is ready to go on a road trip across the country! Specs: -Engine: Original 1600 cubic centimeters. Been rebuilt by the 1st owners and converted from fuel injection into dual carbs (more power) -Transmission:4-speed transmission with a brand new clutch (less than 200 miles) shifts smoothly. -Suspension: All original -Radio: Original working AM radio (not installed) but included. -Windshield defrost -Electric wipers -Manual windows -Newer Redtop optima battery -Brand new carpeting -Seats in great condition, no tears. -12 volt power conversion -Fresh tune up: New spark plugs, wires, etc..
