Vehicle Detail

This is our 1960 Brookwood 2-door wagon----very rare indeed. When was the last time you saw an original paint 2-door brookwood wagon? Most people have never even seen a 60 2-door wagon. I got this car from the original owners son about five years ago. It needed the mechanical done and the interior. The interior is all new from Cars inc. The seat were very expensive! It's hard to find original style seat covers for the rear folding seat, but Cars Inc custom made them. Everything from the carpet to the headliner is new! Car smells like a new car inside. All of the gauges are rebuilt and look new. Everything works except the radio. Most of the window felts are new and the window seals are new. All of the window regulators roll up and down smooth including the rear window. The rear cargo area and all of the folding rear seat brackets and the floor panels are powdercoated a crinkle dark metallic green. It matches the dark green loop carpet very well. The interior of this car is absolutely beautiful! The mechanical side of the car is great. I purchased the engine from a engine rebuilders at a swap meet, its fully detailed and runs great. The transmission is a saginaw 4-speed with a reverse lock-out shifter and a bench-seat style handle. All new clutch and pressure plate, new drive line u-joints and carrier bearing etc. The rear end was serviced and new seals. All new wheel cylinders, hoses, master cylinder, linings, turned rear drums and new front ones. The brakes work great. New aluminized dual exhaust with flowmaster mufflers, (sounds really nice). The chassis besides being highly detailed with eastwood chassis black and the floors being original style red oxide, has many new components. The front suspension has new "moog" ball joints, inner and outer tie rod ends, sway bar bushings/grommets, new front and rear shocks. I built this car to drive nice and tight. It has a hitch on the back that is all wired for trailer lights (4-prong). We towed our 1960's vintage airstream trailer and my Sanger flat bottom boat several times. People go nuts with an old wagon towing something cool like that, its a lot of fun!! The body is the most impressive of the whole thing. Its original paint with the perfect amount of PATINA. It even has the original chalk marks on the firewall. I never planned on getting it painted because its just too cool the way it is. I consider this car done. Tired of seeing over-restored cars that never hit the pavement. This car is a great driver. This car spent its entire life in southern Colorado, that is a very dry area where cars dont rust. The front and rear quarters, bottoms of the tail gate and doors are all perfect. The body mounts and rockers are perfect as well. This a 100% rust free car. I have a clear colorado title. If you are interested please call 303 475-4544 for more questions answered. Thank you, BrettOn Sep-07-11 at 15:40:35 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot to mention that there are absoutley no oil leaks anywhere. No power steering or power brakes, but my wife drives the car (infact it's hers) and she can handles it just fine. The heater core started leaking last year, so I plugged it and the heater no longer blows hot air. The miles I believe are actual (85000) the original owners son thought it was actual and the speedo still worked when I took it out to clean up and have serviced. In colorado any vehicle over 10 years old gets and exemption on the milage portion of the title, so the title reads exempt. On Sep-13-11 at 06:31:13 PDT, seller added the following information:Attention all bidders! I am leaving on a unexpected trip this morning. I will be gone for 7-8 days. If you win the bid on the car you can still rerach me at 303 475-4544 but I will not be home to release the car until next week. Thanks.....
