Vehicle Detail
1969 Pontiac GTO Judge Convertible In my eyes this car is the best that the Widetrack of Pontiac had to offer back in the day. This unbelievable looking car would have been one of 108 if it were genuine. In 1969 Pontiac made the LeMans with the GranTurismoOption, and only a select number of fortunate people had the insight to order "The Judge" option. A couple years ago I saw what the seller claimed to be thee only original triple black Judge convertible which sold at that live auction for $229,000. That auction gave me the incentive to create the Judge that is shown below. Why spend that kind of money when you can have the exact same look for less than a quarter of the price? This Widetrack Pontiac is not a museum piece like the one I saw sell live, but it surely has that type of potential if one so desires. A great deal of time, money and effort went into making the car that you see listed below. The nicely detailed engine is a low mileage Pontiac Big Block 455 with an aluminum Edelbrock Pontiac Torker intake manifold. It has a Holley 650 Double Pumper that allows this baby to get up and rock. The transmission is a Turbo 400. The rear end is a 12 bolt, but I am unaware of what size gear ratio. I can't say for sure whether the mileage is accurate on the body with no documentation, but this 42 year old Pontiac was obviously well cared for over the years. The dual exhaust is newer, and was upgraded to 2 1/2" pipes to allow the big block 455 to breathe easier. The front brakes and some of the wheel cylinders were replaced. This car runs, steers, and shifts great. It has new spark plugs with new Accel 8mm wires for maximum spark. The oil and oil filter were recently changed, and the air filter was just replaced. The wipers, headlights, bright lights, brake lights, turn signals, and rear quarter lights all work. The AM radio, horn, and lighter do not work. The interior is in relatively nice condition as shown in the pictures with only minor imperfection. This dash was never cut up like the majority typically were back then. The floors are in good shape with recent carpet and new floor mats. All four windows roll up and down as they should. All of the chrome is in nice drivers quality condition. The wheels are Pontiac sport wheels with PMD centers, and beauty trim rings. The tires are newer 245/60R14" B.F. Goodrich Radial T/A's. They really make this car sit up as it should. The trunk carries a full size sport wheel spare with a nicely restored jack. Should there be a mishap on the road you are back cruising looking complete. The trunk floor had some minor repair done properly, and the trunk gasket was replaced. This car was recently painted with the original code 19 Starlight black paint, and the correct red, white, and black Judge stripes. The body is virtually laser straight, and the paint shows well. The rear spoiler is new aftermarket, and correct for the 69 Judge. The tachometer is an original Pontiac tach, but has not been hooked up yet. There are plans to have that fully functional prior to the end of this auction. The dash lights work, and I know at night it looks too cool from the drivers seat when the tachometer is lit and working properly. The black convertible power top was replaced within the past year, and works well. An original black convertible top boot will be included in the auction. I tried to take care of all the little details that are often forgotten when putting together a car of this magnitude such as missing grommets, nuts, and bolts. As you can see even the original door knobs have not been forgotten. I tried to place all the original decals everywhere on this car like when it rolled out of the factory. Wherever you drive this car you are certain to be the center of attention. This car is for the guy or girl who always wanted one in high school, or had one and would like to relive the past. This is a wonderful car for cruise nights or to take to the local drive in movie theatre. Whatever your choice, you will be the spectacle of the neighborhood driving around in this sweet machine. As I write a listing I try to describe everything, but if you feel there is something I may have missed please ask. I pride myself in answering every question in explicit detail with the utmost honesty. These type of cars have shown to have incredible investment potential. Now is the time to treat yourself to your dream car. The chance of seeing another car of this caliber for this nominal investment is very remote. I have always considered these cars to be rolling works of art. This one can be driven as well as looked at. This is a no reserve auction, and this triple black beauty will sell to the highest bidder on Sunday evening at 5pm Pacific, 7pm Central, and 8pm Eastern time. Start you're week off happy and with something to tell your friends and co-workers about. Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!
