Four Chevy Suburbans helped raise our four boys. With the boys grown, we kept three Suburbans as family cars. As gas prices and our commutes grew, we migrated to smaller vehicles. All three Suburbans have been left sitting too long, neglected and unused. Time to move them out. Starting price is what I was offered for the scrap metal on each. Each of the vehicles was running as it was last parked in our yard, and I will give an estimate of last-used and last-maintained date for each vehicle where I have it, along with any known major issues. DO NOT ASSUME THESE ARE THE ONLY DIFFICULTIES WITH THESE VEHICLES. Sitting unused outside for a lengthy period of time will add additional woes. All of the vehicles started and ran when they were last parked, but I have not tried starting them again recently. For someone handy, or who can use an extensive collection of Suburban parts, these will be good buys. If you need to be inspected and on the street with your vehicle soon, you should look elsewhere. Everything that is pictured in and on each vehicle will be included in the sale - tires, seats, etc. For the logistics, each of these vehicles is outdoors in a private lot in Westport CT. You may make arrangements to view vehicles before auction close if you wish. For this vehicle, our RED Suburban, the most recent repair records show (at 164,968 miles) from 2004, and include replacement of the power steering pump, hoses, exhaust system, and oil cooler lines. At current time, the significant issues I know of with the car is that it needs brake work, and a gasket repair to stop a leak of water. Again, do not assume these are the only difficulties. REVISED LISTING Sept. 9: Starting price now $150 below estimate offered for scrap metal. Tried jump starting with Saab 9-5: turned over, but very sluggish. Would not catch, even with starter spray.
