The La Grange, Illinois Police Department is selling the following vehicle: a Green 2001 Oldsmobile Silhouette Extended Sport Van with a mileage of 207,546 miles. The vehicle is a seizure and must be disposed of according to Illinois law-it must be sold in an auction-style setting and there is no Buy-It-Now option. The body of the vehicle appears to be in very good shape. the vehicle has zone air conditioning, however, the front fan is not currently working. However, the rear controls/air is working well. The air may be controlled from the front dash or the rear seats. The vehicle is equipped with front/passenger and side air bags, ABS brakes, child safety locks controlled from the driver compartment roof and parking aid (not sure if parking aid functions). The vehicle has power doors/window/locks/mirrors, however, the driver's side rear door must be manually opened. The seats are leather, however, there are a couple small tears in two: driver's seat and a rear seat. The vehicle has an AM/FM stereo with a CD player, which can be controlled manually, from the steering wheel, and in the rear seating compartment. The vehicle is ON STAR ready, has a roof rack, numerous cup holders around the vehicle, and several storage bins throughout. The center seats appear to be removable. The tires and rims appear to be newer in age (size P225/60R16). The vehicle has a remote for locking and opening rear doors (driver's side rear must be opened manually). The vehicle runs very well and there are no known major mechanical or physical problems with it. There are a lot of controls and extras on the dashboard, the roof of the driver's compartment, and the rear passenger compartment. We have tried several and found most to be in working order, but not sure about all of them. The roof antenna is missing and will need to be replaced. The left headlight is out on the high beam setting. There are a couple small scratches on the outside of the vehicle: rear passenger door and driver's side rear door. there is a small dent/bb mark in the right rear door. The vehicle will need a new battery. Otherwise, the vehicle appears to be in good shape and shows normal signs of wear-n-tear. The vehicle is a seizure and MUST be disposed of according to Illinois law-it must be sold in an auction-style setting and there is no Buy-It-Now option. The vehicle is being sold AS IS and with NO existing warranty, neither express nor implied. The winning bidder is responsible for the pick up of the vehicle or making arrangements for a private shipping service. Due to the vehicle being sold AS IS and with no warranty, we suggest potential bidders view the vehicle in person, as there may be defects that I am unaware of. Bidders are responsible for an independent inspection on the vehicle at their own cost prior to bidding if they choose. All sales are FINAL and there will be no price adjustments given.
