Purchased this classic beauty almost two years ago, added some touring accessories, and now I have had to go back to work, so no touring for this recently un-retired soul. Bought this from a listing on the BMW Airhead site. This bike starts right up, runs strong: an excellent light weight sport tourer. Here is what I know about the bike. Painted by a professional with BMW #472 Sterling Gray Metallic, with blue on white pinstripes. Check the pictures. At 98K, splines inspected and lubed, new steering head bearings & races, carbs synched, new fork boots, new fluids-final drive, fork, etc. New cross-over pipe on exhaust. New speedo cable. 3 year old glass mat battery, always on Battery Tender. Top end re-built at 80K. Compression 114 PSI on both sides, checked in September of 2009. Does not burn oil. Brown side stand and center stand. Progressive rear shocks. K&N filter. SS brake lines, brake pads good. Very comfortable Sargeant seat, with room to move around and hang off. Added a Reynolds Folding Rack, so you can have a top box and the dual seat. Added a Besteem top box. Purchased new additional tools, so it now has a very comprehensive tool kit. Added bar end weights, foam grips. Has heated grips. Polished windshield, new gasket. Tires have less then 2k. Fender extenders. Rear blinkers LED.
