Selling my 2000 spyder with the 2zzge celica engine swap. This motor delivers approximately 180 HP vs the 137 these cars came with. This is a very popular swap. Car has 108'000 miles engine 2500 since overhaul. Over the winter I installed a new (used) Yamaha cylinder head, piston rings and rod bearings. All OEM.. Which means all new antifreeze, gaskets, everything associated with an overhaul. CHE header with stainless steel GReddy SP elite cat-back exhaust!! It sounds perfect. At idle sounds like a stock muffler, if you really get on it it has a nice deep rumble- not rice. Is not loud so you don't have to worry about your neighbors.. But out on the road it will pipe up and you will be heard if you want to. Engine fired up first crank and 2500 miles later not a single problem runs perfect- idles perfect and delivers incredible power!! These cars are an absolute blast to drive especially in the mountains and twisty roads. It's like driving a go-cart. From the factory the under bracing was not very good so most owners upgrade. This car has complete custom under bracing know as midship bracing, front under brace, top front and rear strut bracing. This car is very tight and handles curves like a dream!! I swapped a 6 speed transmission (originally had a 5) into this car and installed a brand new clutch. Shifts perfectly - transmission works exactly as it should. Has new Red line 90 weight tranny fluid not the 3.00 stuff.. Tranny has reverse lockout which is basically a device to keep you from accidentally shifting into reverse when your downshifting. It takes a little extra effort to put it in reverse but that's exactly what its intended to do. Rear tires have tons of tread, fronts will need replaced at some point but still have plenty of tread. Air conditioner blows Ice cold and heater toasty hot. Brand new brakes with cross-drilled slotted rotors! Brakes beautifully! Paint is new but does have some flaws. Nothing terribly obvious but your not buying a car with a 5000 dollar paint job. It is super shiny and does draw plenty of attention. The only thing this car will need is if you intend to put the top up and down - it's difficult putting it back up on the drivers side. It should be looked at by a pro at a custom top shop. I think there's a problem with a cable in there somewhere... The top is in brand new condition with the exception of a little hole behind the drivers window. Water does not get in the car but just wanted to mention it. Goes down perfectly just difficult to get back up on the drivers side. Good aftermarket stereo with cd player. Interior everything works perfect! Ashtray has never been used. There is a bit of a not so noticeable stain on the passenger seat. New rain x wiper blades. Front windshield has tiny rock chip very little. Current New Jersey inspection sticker good though May 2013 ! And thanks for looking.
