Southern bred Bright Blue ’88 Jeep Wrangler 4x4 with the original 258 4.2 6cyl engine with 179k miles and a rebuilt 5spd transmission. This Jeep has spent most of its life on smooth, unsalted Southern roads so rust and corrosion have not had their filthy evil grip on it. The interior is in great condition with no rust on the floor boards. The dash is intact with no cracks and working gauges. The sound system consist of a detachable face Sony Xplod radio with a remote and aftermarket 4 6x9 speakers in handmade enclosures. The Sound bar is a custom made vinyl and comes built with a multi-function dome light, 2 of the 6x9 speakers and a sunglass holder. A Jeep Cherokee steering column adds the tilt function. The front seats are aftermarket and in good condition. The bench leaves much to be desired for but what more can you ask for from a factory seat. The VDP deluxe ultimate console has a keyed lock, 4 cup holders, a change and glasses holder. A CD and beverage holder also comes inside the console. Too finish it off, new 3 point front seat belts from Cool Cruiser were installed late last year. The exterior is in good condition with no rust and just a few dings and scratches. The tires have plenty of tread left. The spare is brand new. OEM fender flares. The aftermarket rear bumper doubles as an air tank and comes with 2 size hitch balls. Under the hood you’ll find the factory 258 ready to eat off of. All new seals on the rear main, oil pan, valve and timing cover, keeps the fluids where they belong. The HEI ignition system and “nutter” bypass help push the (ehrmannmp) MC2100 2BBL (non-emissions) carburetor. This puppy runs strong and is smoke free. You’ll have a devil of a time trying to pass emissions so it may need to get registered as a recreational vehicle or in a county that doesn’t require emissions test. The previous owner had the transmission rebuilt and it’s had less than 10k miles since. I truly hate to see it go but times call for a new plan of action.
