1968 Ford Mustang GT Fastback!!! Up for auction is another highly optioned car from our personal collection. This is one loaded fastback! This 1968 fastback was originally Lime Gold with a black interior. It also had a 4bbl 302, the most powerful small block from the factory in 1968! Not only was it an original GT car with standard GT options like fog lights, but was nicely optioned with a sport deck rear seat, power brakes, and power steering. This car will be a head-turner when restored! You could continue on a path to return it to its original luster as a 1968 GT fastback or make a Shelby or Eleanor clone. BODY: This Mustang is fairly complete. The body has some rust in the normal Mustang spots, but it is repairable for someone who doesn't mind some dedicated restoration. The upper portion of the body is in good condition. Please note from the pictures that you will likely need to repair the quarters, frame rails and floors. Overall this Mustang is a great candidate for any modifications and GO FAST package that you may want to add. INTERIOR: The interior of this car is mostly complete. All the fiberglass pieces are in good condition as are the moldings that hold them all together. ENGINE BAY: Engine bay will need some rust repair, which can be done while you are rebuilding the engine. This engine looks like it was running when parked. BRAKE SYSTEM: The mustang has drum brakes in the rear and disk brakes in the front. They are intact and complete. GLASS: The fastback has good glass all around and side window glass. The front windshield has been scratched by the windshield wipers and probably will need to be polished out. The mechanisms for the door glass are complete as well. MISC. This Mustang was built on December 29, 1967. I have a couple of contacts for all the other NOS stuff you may need WHAT IT WILL LOOK LIKE WHEN FINISHED Please take a look at the photos at the end.
