This beautiful Ford Fairlane Galaxie 500 Convertible is part of an estate and we are helping the current owners sell it. They inherited the car and really don't know much about it so I"ll do my best to answer any questions you have. The car is inside my building here in Fresno, California and can be seen anytime. The past owner did an excellent job restoring this car and had numerous trophies from car shows around the valley. Everything in the trunk was used at those shows from the cool Sunkist Cooler to the crate full of detailing supplies so it all stays with the car! I've driven the car about 30 miles and here's what I can tell you: It fires up cold after a few pumps and runs great. The transmission shifts goodThe brakes are manual drum and do not work well. We found a brand new power brake master cylinder/booster that looks like it was purchased for this car and is included. Parking brake is fineThe power steering works well but the air conditioning does not work The power top works well and all of the windows roll up and down easily (the RH window crank knob is in the ash tray) The speedometer, odometer, temp gauge, fuel gauge and horn all workThe AM radio has power and will auto-search for stations but it has an aftermarket stereo in the glove box wired to the dash speaker This is car is not a trailer queen but it's truly a show car none the less. Also, It's a valley car which means no rust issues at all. The floors all look to be original and in good condition including the trunk area. It has original style tires made by Coker Classic and just floats down the road. If you're looking for a car to DRIVE to the car shows or club gatherings, it doesn't get much better. It has one very noticeable chip on the trunk lid (pictured) and a few less noticeable chips in areas that can be easily touched up, otherwise the paint is amazing. The chrome and trim on the car is either new or excellent original. The car is currently licensed and registered in California with a clear title.
