This 5 day auction is for a 1963 Chevrolet Impala Super Sport. This totally original two owner Impala S S is equipped with the numbers matching 283 c. i. engine and powerglide transmission with 64118 miles showing on the odometer (believed to be actual). Car was purchased new in Toronto, Canada on April 20th, 1963 at Robertson Motors by the original owner who lived in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The Chevy lived in N.S., Canada until sometime in 1973 when the original owner moved to Louisiana. Upon arriving in Shreveport the S S was put in storage and remained there until the current owner bought the car in a package deal about a month ago. The car still wears the Nova Scotia inspection sticker that expired in November, 1973. The original black interior is in overall very nice original condition. Drivers seat shows a 3-4 inch seam separation while the passenger and rear seat shows little aging or use. The padded dash shows no evident cracks or dimples. The white headliner has no tears, rips or sags. The door panels are in excellent overall condition showing little to no aging however the drivers panel shows only minor cracking on the armrest pad. The engine turn dash trim is in excellent to mint condition while the steering wheel has splits. The cast metal shifter plate shows quite a bit of deteriation while the console is in overall nice condition showing only some slight bubbling on the chrome cast metal lid. The black carpet has had floor mats since new and shows little use however some fraying and discoloration in some areas. Overall this forty-eight year old interior is in very good to excellent condition. The body side moldings are in very good condition. The drivers side shows no noticeable dings while the passenger side shows some minor dings on the quarter panel and door moldings. The engine turn inserts on both sides appear to be in above average to very nice condition. The rear body S S trim shows no major dings or dimples however some minor scratches can be seen in the trunk lock area. Both bumpers are straight and are excellent candidates for rechrome. The bumper insert on the rear is very straight while the front bumper insert is bent. The grille is very straight and should be an easy restoration. The hood lip, both rear quarter panels, both front fenders and the passenger door has rust (see photos). Also the car is not in runnig condition due to deteriation after many years of storage. The current owner bought this S S in a package deal and has no interest in it and is the reson for selling. Very low starting bid with no reserve.
