This title to this truck reads "1945" but the chassis tag (stamped BD776140) is not original to the truck. The truck has the 1940s features, including art deco grill and 216 ci inline six engine. The chrome has been painted and may be indicative of a war production truck. The LAS prefix engine block number reflects a 1953 engine according to my research. Transmission number is 690511. Rear axle (differential) is numered BK1710. The truck was running when I purchased and drove it in 2008, and has sat in a desert corral for the last three years. I have not started it since but have no reason to believe that it will not run. The original gas tank is missing and truck comes with a contemporary poly fuel tank that can be mounted under the seat or the bed. Brakes are functional but mushy. Wiring is poor. I put on four new 16" tires this month. I will try to answer all questions.
