The La Grange, Illinois Police Department is selling ONE vehicle: a white 2006 Westward GO-4 Interceptor III 3-Wheel vehicle (Cushman-like) with the low mileage of 35,082. The La Grange Police Department is the original and only owner of this vehicle, which was used as a fleet vehicle for parking enforcement in our community. Regular maintenance was performed on this vehicle by our village mechanic. The vehicle was manufactured by Westward Industries and is rated at 2,285 GVWR. It has a 4-cycle engine which uses gasoline. It is street legal in Illinois; not sure in other states The vehicle does have a governor installed (which does not allow the vehicle to travel over approximately 35-40 mph), however, the governor may be disconnected by a mechanic. Other listings on eBay have said that a similar vehicle will travel at approximately 50-60 mph without the governor, however, we do not know for sure. The vehicle was purchased new by our Department in late December 2005 for approximately $20,000. The vehicle is being replaced due to our vehicle replacement cycle. The vehicle is equipped with an amber warning/arrow stick bar on the rear roof which is not curtrently working (unknown if disconnected). The vehicle has working windshield wipers. The vehicle has a working AM/FM stereo with cassette player. The vehicle has a bright working dome light on the interior roof. The sliding doors on both the right and left sides open fully or half way. The vehicle has a large locking trunk. The vehicle is in good working condition and shows normal signs of wear-n-tear. There are no known major problems with the vehicle, mechanically or physically. The vehicle has been garage-stored when not in use since being owned. The vehicle has a small tear in the arm rest and did not come with air conditioning from the factory. The vehicle would be great for a campground, resort, or large piece of property. This vehicle is surplus village property and MUST be disposed of according to Illinois law-it must be sold at an auction-style setting such as eBay and there is no Buy-It-Now option. The vehicle is being sold AS IS and with no existing warranty, neither express nor implied. The winning bidder is responsible for the pick up of the vehicle or making arrangements for a private shipping service. Due to the vehicle being sold AS IS and with no warranty, we suggest potential bidders view the vehicle in person, as there may be defects that I am not aware of. Bidders are responsible for having an independent inspection completed at their own cost if desired prior to bidding. All sales are final and no price adjustments will be given.
