Up for grabs is a 1980 Honda C70. Nice little moped, in good condition. Run real good, starts right up with electric starter, and within the first couple kicks, even when sitting for a couple days. Carbs were gone through and cleaned last fall as well as receiving a new battery. Has almost brand new tubes and tires (the knobbies are even still on the tires). Seat is good, wth no tears. It's a bit dirty, but it's solid. I have the original owner's manual and tool kit. Clear title! OK, every little detail that's not perfect: it's 30 years old so there is some wear. There are various scrapes and scuffs. The carrying racks are a little rusty, but could be stripped and painted to match the bike, which I would also be painting cuz it's pretty faded from being 30 + years old. This is what happens to old paint, it fades. There is a little bit of rust on the rear fender where it has been bent. It looks like someone probably hit the turn signals and tried to bend them back which crinkled the fender a little bit and cracked the paint off, and now there's rust. (see pics). The plastic bottom of the handlebars is cracked. Still functions, but I'd replace it if I were keeping it. The headlight is burned out. Occasionally the electric start dose not work, I would think it's just dirty contacts. Usually with a few flicks of the run/stop switch it works fine again. The right side cover is a little wonky fitting, and has a couple holes that were drilled in it for I don't know why.. Hope all this dosen't scare ya away, but I want to be up front about every little thing that's wrong so you aren't upset after buying it and you see some flaws. Overall this is a nice, fun little machine that could be made into something very special with a pretty minimum amount of work. Please do not ask what the lowest I wil take for it is, just tell me what you are willing to pay by making a bid, and I'll either take it or leave it. leagal(ish) stuff: buyer is respnsibe for pickup/shipping.
