1952 OR 53 MODEL FORD F-4 "ORIGINAL FLATHEAD FORD V-8 ENGINE FULLY INTACT"! 33,000 I AM TOLD ACTUAL MILES! I believe the miles are correct due to knowing the vehicle been in my area since I can remember, but I can not swear to it. As for the engine, it is 100% intact. It starts, runs quietly, and doesn't smoke. However, it does need a tune up due to the spark plugs are gassed up and probably needs points due to sitting for many years. It is still on the 6 volt system and has the original starter and generator. Both work perfectly. The transmission shifts smoothly and gears are quiet. The rear end is quiet and tight. Needs brake work. The cab and body are quiet a story. "It would be very easy to restore to mint or near mint condition due to the small amount of rust on it". The only serious rust is in the right floor board. The hood, the fenders, the cab and body are extremely solid w/only small easily repaired spots of rust. The rust that is on it can be easily seen in the pictures and where it is...replacement panels are available at reasonable prices=a cheap fix. All windows roll up and down and all original glass is still in truck though faded. "I AM TOLD THIS IS THE SAME CAB AS A F-1 PICK-UP. THE ONLY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 1948-1952 OR 53 IS THE GRILLE. The interior is nice w/ the exception of the headliner is gone and the seat needs recovering. The dash is near mint. All the gauges are bright, speedometer and odometer are both bright w/ all numbers crisp. The heater box, air vent, everything is intact. Glove box door has all vehicle info on it and all build plates and tag are extremely bright and crisp. Whether you are restoring another truck or need a cab, engine, or would like to restore a 1 ton, "this is a once in a lifetime chance". Again, I can not swear by the miles, but by knowing the family that owned it all my life and seeing it driven it only on very rare occasions I would say that the miles are right. The wear on the pedals and steering wheel indicate very low mileage. Due to the age of this vehicle I am selling it as-is, where is. NO EXCEPTIONS.
