1971 VOLKSWAGON SUPER BETTLE WITH CUSTOM 1940 FORD HOOD AND GRILL Very unique Beetle with only 65,000 original miles. All original except for the hood conversion. Car runs great and just needs some freshing up here and there. Great back to school car. Lots of potential to take it further as a custom or just pick up a good used hood and go back to original. I planned to go with red wheels and whitewall with a satin black paint job but the possibilities are endless. Good tires and brakes.Ready to drive away but I will work with your transporter to help get it to you. Too many cars and the wife won't drive a manual shift so time to find this a good home. On Aug-24-11 at 15:07:26 PDT, seller added the following information: I have been asked several times about rust condition on the floors and also questions on the hood latches. I have included a few more pictures that will help explain. I pulled the carpet up to show the floors and they are in really good with no rust. You can see the hood hinges are original and going back to an original hood will be simple if that is what you choose to do.
