1998 Ford E250 Passenger Van. 12-Passenger capacity with Ricon Wheelchair lift. VIN 1FTNS24L9WHB39201. Current mileage 238,017. 5.4 liter gas V-8 engine and automatic overdrive transmission. Front air conditioning with rear ductwork (no separate rear A/C system), driver’s side airbag, AM/FM stereo, rubber floor and rear mesh step platform. The passenger seats fold up and there is e-track to secure a wheelchair. This van was built in April, 1998. It has a GVW Rating of 8,600-pounds. This van starts right up and show good indicated oil pressure. It idles well. There sounds to be some squealing from a belt. The air conditioning blows warm. The van runs and drive well in the yard, but I could not road test it since it was not registered at the time. It has gone out of service at the end of the 2010-2011 school year. It was used by a school district in Massachusetts. It is one of eight vans that we bought from the district. A few of the other vans are still available, but they have been selling fast. The front tires are very good and the rear tires are excellent. The brakes feel good and the pedal feels strong. The parking brake works. The steering feels good at low speeds. The transmission goes in and out of gear well, but the linkage is a bit stuff and might need to be lubricated. There is a moderate to heavy amount of rust and rot on this van. There are some areas where a Bondo-type filler appears to have been used. There is a hole in the plastic stepwell on the driver’s side. There is a dent in the left front corner below the marker light. The frame looks good for the most part, but has heavy surface rust. The wheelchair lift works well. There are some minor rips in the driver’s seat, but the rest of the seats look good. This van is located in Loudon, New Hampshire. It would be available for pick-up by appointment only and we request that it be picked up within seven days of the sale unless other arrangements are made. Pick-up is often from an active school bus yard and may only be available during school days and regular business hours unless special arrangements are made. We do not offer shipping.
