Vehicle Detail
You are looking at a rare individual - a VERY LOW MILEAGE ORIGINAL CONDITION 1980 Datsun 210b station wagon. This car is in amazing condition for its 31 years of age. The car has not been restored, everything is original, including the steel radial tires and the spare tire in the hatch. It has an amazingly low 29,504 miles on the odometer. 1.4 liter v4 engine. Excellent gas mileage. This car was purchased by my grandfather new in 1980 from my hometown of Baltimore, Maryland, and after he passed away in 2008, I inherited the car; it now resides with me in my current location in upstate New York. The car has always been garaged, and has never seen a winter. I have all of the original paperwork and documentation for this car from the dealership, including information on the original RustTop application the car had, and so on. The car has a green exterior with tan pinstriping, and a tan vinyl interior. The car has some imperfections from age and use. The driver's side seat has 2 small tears in the vinyl. Otherwise the interior is in excellent, near-mint condition. There are a few very small dings on the hood and front fenders. The gas cap cover paint has 'bubbled up' a little bit from some rust because it appears to have been bent and then repaired at some point. It has had touch-up paint but should probably be replaced to look its best. The car has extremely minimal surface rust on some parts of the under-carriage, but very little. The car was involved in an extremely minor fender bender in the early 90's. As far as the appraiser could tell all original parts were left intact and repaired (with the exception of the bumper), but there is a small piece missing from the grill that was never replaced after the accident (see photo). Available options at the time the car was purchased were pinstriping and an FM radio, both of which this car has. The car is also equip with air conditioning, however it does not currently have a charge (has not for at least as long as we have had it) -- assume that it needs r12/freon. Since taking ownership of this car, we have scoured the internet for other 210b station wagons that have this kind of mileage (or at all for that matter!) and are in this condition, but so far no luck. It is safe to say this is a RARE specimen of Datsun and would be wonderful for any Datsun collector/enthusiast.
