Up for bid is a 1996 Buick Roadmaster Limited Estate Wagon. A “Collectors Edition” like all 96 Roadmasters, this one boasts all factory options available with the exception of the engine block heater. Wood delete was also special ordered on this Medium Adriatic Blue car making it a rare one. At just short of 108k miles it still drives and rides beautifully with a soft ride well known in Buick’s of this era. Solid undercarriage with minor surface rust. Quarters and fenders show no rust. The car starts and drives very well, no issues with the engine, transmission or drivetrain. Boasting GM's Corvette inspired LT1 engine and 4L60E transmission, it puts down plenty of power and the limited slip rear end (V92 and G80 build codes) maximizes the traction to the pavement. Condition Report ENGINE: Runs on all eight cylinders without smoking, missing or knocking. Engine runs at proper temperature. Good battery & charging system. Starts easily. Both accessory belts and tension pulleys were replaced in April. TRANSMISSION: Performs as designed. Engages gears quickly and shifts through all forward gears and reverse with good downshift and torque converter performance. Clean fluid with no burn odors. Shifts well. EXTERIOR: Body: Sheet metal is straight all around. There are a couple very minor dings but no dents. All lower chrome trim, including the 'rubber' strips is intact. Both bumpers intact with no cracks or tears. Extremely solid. Paint: Paint shines nicely though there are a few minor scratches. One scratch is a few inches long on the right fender but touched up. Other: Glass is all nice including the original Sungate windshield. Stainless trim in nice shape with minor dings. Solid undercarriage and frame. Aluminum wheels are in nice shape with no pitting but a couple wheel weight marks. INTERIOR: Interior of the car is very nice. All seats are in good shape. The usual spot on the drivers seat shows some wear but has not gone through the fabric. Carpet shows some wear in the usual spot at the drivers left foot but has not worn through. Dash and all door panels are in good shape with no cracks. Some paint wear on the driver window switch panel as normal. Headliner shows no sags or tears. Professionally installed 35% window tint. ELECTRICAL STUFF: All inspection items work (lights, button horn, wipers, etc.) April '11 VA Safety inspection passed. Heater and fan work, A/C blows cold. CD player and radio works well though several of the lights for the buttons are out as is common, cassette deck not tested. All windows work normally. Load leveling compressor works fine. Seat heaters do NOT work. The trip odometer does not work though a replacement cluster with very similar mileage is available for the winning bidder to swap out should he/she desire. DRIVEABILITY: Drives out well. Steering is tight, suspension a bit bouncy on original shocks, but then it IS a Buick. Alignment feels good though inside tire wear seems to indicate adjustment may be needed. Brakes work well, recently replaced rotors and pads. Matching set of tires with decent tread left though as noted inside fronts worn. Solid exhaust pipes with no leaks, recent muffler replacement with Summit Turbos. Limited slip ear end is quiet. Great driver, hop in and drive anywhere. Short version: Small deposit as listed (but fast) by overnight mail or Paypal within 24 hours.
