This is an easy project, great for starters. This is a survivor that you can drive while you restore. It has spent most of its life in storage! It’s has the Matching Number 305 that it came with from the factory and the original 350 turbo automatic transmission. It is nicely optioned with AC, that still has all the parts but may just need charged. Heat works well. And it has a new cam, new lifters, new timing chain, new gaskets, new plugs, new wires, etc. There are no leaks. It has the original automatic transmission with a console shifter. I’ve been dealing with classic cars for a long time and I can tell you that you don’t get much at all when buying a Classic Matching Numbers Camaro for $2,500. Usually for this price you get just a shell of a car - little to no interior, missing parts, no title, rotted out frame, holes in the floor and trunk. But this is awesome - this is a Complete, Matching Numbers, Running and Driving, Nicely Optioned, Very Solid Car with a Clear Title and lots of Original Documentation. I will start the bidding at $1,700 with a BUY IT NOW of $2,500 which is my asking price. This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION! Good Luck. I am selling this car for a friend. Here is what I can tell you - he drove it 35 miles to my house so I could help list it for him and then he drove it home afterwards without any problems. It starts right up and it sounds really good with a mild cam. I rode with him around the block a few times and it shifted fine, sounded good, stopped as it should and performed well. He stated that he was told the original owner sold it to his dad after owning it less than 10 years. His dad drove it a year or two then parked it in the garage and it sat there for close to 20 years. When it was passed down to the son… the current owner, he began to get it road ready because he wanted it to be his daily driver. He got in a minor accident in a parking lot and slightly damaged the rear quarter. He began to restore the car when he fell on hard times and now has to sell it. I can also tell you that he just very recently did the motor work; when I was at his house less than a month ago, he had the motor completely disassembled and was rebuilding it. At the time the motor was exposed and he showed me the numbers on the block and they do indeed match the numbers on the Vin and the tag on the door has the same numbers as well. One thing is for sure, if I did not already have two old cars sitting in my yard, I would be buying this one myself at his asking price of $2,500. I have bought a lot less for a lot more! It really is a fair price. These 2cd Generation Camaros are becoming very sought after. This is your chance to pick one up at a fraction of the price. I have seen rolling projects with no motor or transmission sale for more. He has given me full rights to execute this sale as his consignor. As such I will consider any fair offers either through Ebay or locally. I have secured the notarized title from him and will send it to the winning bidder once full payment has been received. If you have any questions I will contact the owner and respond promptly. ADDED: The owner brought it to my attention that I did not have a clear picture of the rear quarter damage. So I replaced the last picture showing the real good tread on the back tires with the picture of the slight rear quarter damage. This is an AS IS SALE. There is no warranty either written, expressed or implied. It is the responsibility of the bidder to inspect, view, and test drive the vehicle before bidding on it. This is a 7 day auction so that the bidders have the chance to come see the car first hand. You are free to ask as many questions as you need to in order to become fully informed before bidding. If you need more information I will gladly assist you anyway I can. First of all, this is an old car, it does run and drive but since it is not my car I will not be liable for any grievances, I am just running an ad for a friend. I listed plenty of pictures and let my friend write the ad because I have no first hand knowledge about the vehicle. Many of the parts on this car are original to the car. I consider any unrestored car over 20 years old a project car. The parts will wear out, they are old. Any project car may need shocks, bearings, rotors, brakes, joints, tires or any other moving part that is subject to wear. Again this car is full of original parts that are more than 30 years old and I can’t tell you what parts need repair if any and what parts are good.
