Engine starts immediately, idles nicely, and accelerates with vigor. Doesn’t smoke at all. No leaks. New brakes, including new calipers, hoses, and master cylinder done by my long time European car mechanic. New Pirelli tires too. Upgrades include electronic ignition and Anso exhaust. Sounds great. I’ve had the car for about 5 years and haven’t needed to do any work on the engine except having the carb rebuilt and tuned. I can’t say for sure if the engine has been modified. The car is quick and fun. Transmission is 5-speed manual with no issues; clutch is solid. I’m selling the car because northern Colorado recently re-instituted the air emissions program. This Fiat actually passed the emissions part of the test, but the air pump system is gone so they failed it. For the price of the vehicle, it’s not worth it to me to replace this stuff. I’m sad because this is a super little car. Not perfect, but great fun in good weather. There is a little parcel shelf backseat for the dogs, which is one of the reasons I love this car. None of the competitors from the era have this feature. The interior has been updated (cloth) and there are no cracks in the dash. Electronics work surprisingly well. The only real issue is a tear in the top. I’ve been using a car cover from IAP and it’s usually in my garage. Since I only drive it on nice days, it’s not an issue for me. There is no rust on the car, but there is a ding on the hood (2 inches) showing a little cosmetic rust. Odometer works and shows 75,280, but who knows. My low reserve price reflects these issues. If I don’t get any interest, I’m going to part the car out. I don’t want to, but I can’t sell it locally without adding the air pump. Buyer is responsible for pickup/shipping. I’ll work with you to make it happen. Deposit of US $500.00 within 48 hours of auction close. Full payment required within 7 days of auction close. Thanks for your interest.
