Vehicle Detail
I have decided to sell my 59 corvette after much thought. The story (as far as I know) goes like this; the previous owners bought this car in 1976 and did very little to it. It sat in the garage until the husband died then I bought the car. When I bought the car in pieces there were parts wrapped in newspapers in the truck from 1974. The reason for the parts is because it was wrecked. From what I can put together the car was wrecked in the early 70's someone put a front end on it from the center of the front wheels forward and never finished it. So, I bought it with the intentions of making a rat rod out of it thinking it would be inexpensive and cool. But I have small kids and not enough time or money to complete it in the near future. Description: * Currently in black primer * From the rear of the car to the center of the front wheel wells, the body seems straight (with exception of a few minor bruises) * The front inner fender wells need to be replaced. I was going to do this when I pulled it off the frame. * The frame, steering, & suspension appear to be original. * Frame has 2 small holes in rear crossmember, and overall the frame appears to be solid. (see pics) * Hard top is ruff and needs restored. * Have new black dash pad, door panels, arm rest covers, & grab bar cover. * I do not have the original motor & transmission, but I have the one that came with it. - Motor having casing no. 3892657 with 202 camelbacks. It was a crate motor 1967 and is currently seized. - Transmission is a T10 from 1966, and don't know the condition it is in. - Also have a 283 that came with the car that I was told was original, but suffix code is wrong. * Assume that all chrome needs replaced or re-chromed. Extras: * Extra steering column, drive shaft, & windshield. (one on car is currently cracked) * Headlight bezels and 283 block are not in pictures. This car needs total restoration. If you would like to see this car, e-mail me and we can make arrangements. If I were bidding on it I know I would want to see it also. Also, if you need other information or pictures, please feel free to e-mail me. The car is also for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time.
