This is my dads car, which he doesnt want to sell we need the space actually been garage kept bought from a friend which was a collector ! It's a very rare European edition 280SL roadster. This was never officially imported to the USA. Ebay's system can't handle European VINs so I had to put a string of zeroes in there. It's a DOHC six cylinder, fuel-injected, 5-speed ZF manual gearbox, small and elegant European bumpers, flush composite headlamps. 15" chrome Mercedes wheels. The car runs perfectly has had full tune-up motor and transmission is perfect , stays cool even with A/C on, no oil leaks seen, just purrs. The 5-speed gearbox shifts like butter, brakes are perfect, all electrical works except one switch for window on passengers side doesnt work needs to be changed window will roll up and down once you change switch minor issue , gauges, clock, power antenna, etc. all works , AC works and blows cold! Only 100 k miles ! Tires are fair. also has a radio but doesnt work is not connected Interior is Good shape, clean leather has some cracks on drivers seat but no rips all original . The original matching hardtop is included as well. The body is straight but the paint has ( has some minor scratches normal wear no visiable dents very clean paint job nice and shiny like new )We are missing the front moldings on each side of car shown in picture u can order from mercedes or on ebay . A great fun car to drive - much quicker and faster than an American 380SL with auto trans. Gets thumbs-up everywhere it goes! Car is a head turner also when the top is down convertibles are always a nice thing , nice cool rare cherry red color shines .comes with a cover for car as well good for rain snow etc .
