We are a Municipal Police Agency, located in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago and have been Authorized by our Village Board to sell off ALL Surplus Property via eBay. This Auction is for a 2004 Ford Explorer XLT 4x4 114" Wheelbase, 4.6L SOHC Engine. The Exterior is "Medium Wedgewood Blue Clear Coat with Graphite Cloth Interior. This vehicle was originally purchased for the Chief of Police and was used in that capacity until 2008, when it was turned over to the Village Hall and used as an Administrative Vehicle. It has a little over 116,000 miles, and is in great running condition. It just has a complete inspection at Wickstrom Ford in Barrington, Illinois to make sure everything was in good working condition. The Interior of the vehicle is in very good condition and was just completely detailed, inside and out by "Auto Image" also located in Barrington, Illinois. The Exterior has a few issues. The paint is chipping away and has some rust starting on the hood. There is also paint chipping away and some rust starting on the roof of the vehicle, along the luggage racks. There is about a 6 inch crease on the right rear quarter panel, and another scrape on the left front fender. I have tried to photograph these issues, but they may not be the best photo's. The tires are in great shape. This vehicle is sold without any type of warranty, written or expressed. This vehicle will not be sold outside this auction, so please don't ask. It will be sold to the highest bidder, after the reserve has been met. We suggest that you come out and view the vehicle prior to bidding. We have described the vehicle as best we could, but we don't want any surprises.
