This is a 1932 Studebaker Rockne 65 Sedan Deluxe 110" wheelbase. This vehicle is a two owner car with 84,765 original miles. The car has spent its whole life in the Philadelphia area. The second owner purchased the car as a project in 1969 and did a full restoration with the final completion in the late 1970's. This is a very well optioned Rockne. The flat head 6 cylinder still starts right up and runs strong. The car has been sitting for many years but still starts right up and drives nice. Here is the story behind the car: I am a classic car broker and I am selling the car for the family that owns it. The man who owned it and restored it died in 2008 and left the car to his daughter. The daughter loves the car but knows that its time to go. The vehicle has an older restoration. The paint is cracking in some spots and there are a few small dents, but other than the appearance, the car is a good family driver car. The car is very well optioned. The car is a Deluxe 65 Sedan. The Deluxe package included the tires in the front fenders, a rack on the back for a trunk, and chrome accessories. The interior is clean, it was fully redone in the mid 1970's along with all the trim work. The car has an option that is apparently pretty rare. There is a pull knob on the dash labeled "Free Wheeling." I was told that it was used when going down hills. The car comes with a large amount of original paperwork, sales flyers, Rockne literature, restoration photos and documentation, and various awards and plaques the car has been featured on in the past. I have a good amount of pictures and I think the car speaks for itself. It's far from perfect, but it's a really nice driver. I have a good amount of photos and can answer any question you have. On Aug-12-11 at 16:55:24 PDT, seller added the following information: Today, 08/12/2011, this vehicle was added to the international Rockne Registry. This is now #199 in the registry. That's right, there are only 199 of these cars known to exist at the moment and this is the freshest one! I have also added pictures of the engine, luggage rack, engine (an electric fuel pump was added a few years ago, but the original is included with a bunch of other parts), taillight, and the few areas on the car that I feel need a little attention.The right side front and rear fenders have some slight dents in them that need to be fixed and the drivers door has a dent in it from hitting the spare tire many years ago. Other than that, the car is solid and in pretty good shape for being restored 35+ years ago. Any questions or picture requests? Let me know! On Aug-12-11 at 20:38:59 PDT, seller added the following information: I have been getting emails regarding the paint condition. The car was painted around 1975 in lacquer paint and has since cracked over the last 35 years. I would say that the condition is good for a driver but I would recommend a respray if you intend to use it as a show car. The pictures I have added should speak for themselves. Again, this is not a show car, it has flaws, and they are mainly just cosmetic. I personally don't think the car looks that bad but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. With less than 200 of these cars left in the world and this one runs and drives, cracks in the paint and some dents really isn't that bad.
